This month we are learning about gardens in our Mother Goose unit study. So far we have planted seeds and discussed how they will grow, parts of the plant, what plants need to survive (water, food, sunlight). We spent some time exploring gardens in the neighborhood as well. Looking for the types of flowers and vegetables that will grow in the southern regions.We discussed the vegetables we ate what how you plant them, what it takes to grow them, how long it takes to grow each vegetable and how to recognize when its done. We started a worm bin to care for and feed as well as part of our science, talking about the parts of the worm and how the benefit and hinder gardens.
