Until an encounter with a stranger on a Kings Cross Street provides the catalyst for a life changing event that leads her back home. Resolution is the last place in the world Jed wants to be. One drastic decision has led him to the Island resort and back into strained contact with his brother, Flynn. From the bright lights of Sydney to the blue waters of Resolution Island, Beyond Resolution is a story that provides a window into the joy of forgiveness, trust and peace.

My Review:
Beautifully wrote book about the power of Gods grace, forgiveness of self and other and accepting your past. The characters were delightful and full of life. I really enjoyed watching them grow , mature and gain insight and perspective into how they have damaged their own life. Following the lead characters as they come to term with decision of the past and seek after God to change their future was a main theme throughout. How many times have I repeated the same mistakes again and again only to get slapped in the face about what I was doing. Cycles are hard to stop repeating.   I kept thinking the main central theme of this book is to take your spiritual help and leave judging to God! Time and again I found myself reflecting on Luke:

Luke 6:37-42
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 - Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
39 - He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 - A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.
41 - "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 - How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

The only real negative thing I can ay about the book is I was not to keen on the cover. It did not really sum up the book to me and if i was picking a book based on the cover, this is not one I would have grabbed, although I am thankful I did!

The book is a little dark in some areas and really not acceptable for a younger audience, even with a solid Christian theme throughout, much of the book centers around drugs, prostitution, strip clubs and abuse.
