My Review:
This is the 4th book in the New Answer's series. Although this book was incredibly interesting, it was not an easy read. I used this book as part of my homeschooling with my kids 7,13, and 18 and I have to admit, there is so much in this book it's hard to absorb it all as quickly as we tried to. This is a book for those who already have a pretty good understanding of the Bible and the controversy surrounding.
This book starts off with Ken Ham touching on a very emotional subject for most-the Earth's age. No matter if you believe in the Young Earth theory or not, Ken makes it very clear that Jesus is the only path to salvation. I loved how it nipped it all in the bud and set his good name straight with that little bit of controversy surrounding him.
There are so many fantastic and fascinating questions that this book answers that I decided to list a few out that were favorites in our house,:
Were dragons real?
Were there really cavemen?
Should there be a battle between science and the Bible?
Were there really cavemen?
Should there be a battle between science and the Bible?
Were people originally dumb brutes?
What about beneficial mutation?
Is speciation evidence for Creation or Evolution?

You may quickly notice a theme, but I really liked how the authors touched on each of these questions. These were the topics that drew in my kids and had them fascinated and engaged. They were astonished that there was actually a book and a Godly book, that answered, or tried to, these questions. That had to be one of my favorite things about this book- it drew my kids in by asking the questions that matter to them, that keep them thinking and it gave them biblical truth to stand on when talking about these topics.
A frequent argument we have in our home is the belief that scientist-real scientist-cannot believe in God. I adored how the group of authors that wrote this book were people like
Danny Faulkner, who has a Ph.D. in astronomy, Dr. David Menton, with a
PhD in cell biology, and professor of anatomy at Washington
University School of Medicine,Dr. Andrew Snelling a PhD in geology from the University in Sydney. All men of God that are "real" scientist.
I can easily recommend this book for families, home educators, youth groups, and others who are fascinated with science, the earth and Christ. This book will deepen your faith and challenge your belief system.

About the Author:
Ken Ham is the president/CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis - U.S. and the highly acclaimed Creation Museum. Ken Ham is one of the most in-demand Christian speakers in North America.
Ken's emphasis is on the relevance and authority of the book of Genesis and how compromise on Genesis has opened a dangerous door regarding how the culture and church view biblical authority. His Australian accent, keen sense of humor, captivating stories, and exceptional PowerPoint illustrations have made him one of North America's most effective Christian communicators.
