And Adrian’s desire to protect her son from the truth of his biological father isn’t enough to hide the wild blue eyes of father and son, or to keep Adrian from surrendering to the raw passion between her and James. But is he truly the changed man he claims to be? Maybe this time his rebel heart really is home to stay.

This book was a fun, quick read but packed a punch. I simply did not want to put this one down once I picked it up. It flowed nicely with characters that had depth and real issues that you could relate to. The dynamic between Adrian and James is something I could see unfolding in real life. Feeling betrayed and disguarded left Adrian with her guard up around James, especially since she had a son to protect as well. James though is desperate to prove to his old town that he is a changed man and has no intentions of every running away again and every intention of being back in Adrian's life. The whole time I am reading this book I was reminded of a momma bear protecting her little cub from the big bad world of hurt and danger that James and her ex-husband presented to Adrian. I loved Adrian. She was fierce, adamant and full of fire. No one and nothing was going to have her in a place in life again that was unhealthy for her and her son. She was bound and determined to be the protector and security that they both desperately needed. James on the other hand was just as determined to prove himself to his hometown, family, friends, and those that he love. These 2 together made for one heck of a ride and I ate up every second.
